Ezhutharinathar Temple – Innambur (For Education)

Once upon a time The sun god lost his beauty and asked the sages , the way to regain it back. They told him to worship Lord Shiva at Innambur where the elephant Of the Devas, lravadham worshipped Lord shiva.When he went there. Nandhi and Lord vinayaka blocked the dharshan of Lord shiva. But having graceful to his prayers they allowed him. So this is one of the places where there is no nandhi. Surya Deva is otherwise called INAN. So this place is called Innambur. The Lord taught Grammer to Sage Agasthya and so the Lord is called as Ezutharinadhar.

Once. the king ruling this place asked his accountant Sudhanman who is a great devotee Of Shiva to submit the Temple accounts, Sudhanman submitted the accounts. But the king raised some doubts in the accounts. Sudhanman worshiped Lord shiva to solve his problem. The next day, Lord Shiva took the form of the accountant and cleared the doubts of the king. After a while Sudhanman showed the accounts and the king asked why was he bringing the accounts again. Having understood that Lord shiva graced him, Sudhanman explained everything to the king. The king asked pardon to Sudhanman and raised a Temple to the Lord here.
