Sri Agasteeshwarar Karuvalarcheri Temple (For Blessing with Child)

During the wedding Of Lord shiva and Parvathi . the northern part went down and southern part was lifted upwards and there was an imbalance on the earth, As the instructions of Lord shiva , Sage Agasthya came to southern part with his wife Lopadevi to balance the earth’s imbalance. He requested Lord Shiva that he must be able to see the Lord's wedding wherever he is. Agasthya with Lopadevi came to this place and consecrated a Shiva lingam. He worshipped the Lord and also got the dharsnan of the Lord's wedding. So the Lord here is known as Agatheeshwarar. There is a separate sannidhi for Sage Agasthya and Lopadevi as Moolavar and also urchavar. During fullmoon days and on the star of Ayilyam, special worships are done in this Temple.
